Specialized Support for Eating Disorder Recovery | Serving Colorado & Minnesota Online
Beneath the rules, the fear, and the shame - you are still there.
Hi, I’m Brianna.
You feel at war with your body. You can’t stop thinking about what you ate, how much you ate, or what you’ll eat next. The calorie counting won’t stop. These thoughts have become so loud that there’s hardly any room left for the things you actually care about.
I believe you can find your way back to yourself.I’m passionate about working with people who are tired of constantly thinking about food and their bodies, but know that healing requires more than simply challenging those thoughts. My clients are curious. They want to understand where these patterns come from, change the way they relate to themselves and the world around them, and develop a relationship with themselves that feels more trusting, compassionate, and aligned.
I don’t believe therapy is about becoming a better version of yourself. I believe it’s about remembering who you were before you learned that you needed to be different.
My hope is that, through our work together, you begin to remember who you were - Before the rules, the shame, and the expectations became louder than your own inner knowing. The person you were before you learned to question your body, your worth, and your place in the world is still there. I will help you reconnect to what has always been Well Within you.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with their relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves—people who know they want more for their lives but aren’t sure how to get there. Our work can draw from feminist psychology, relational theory, skill based work, somatic approaches, and mindfulness. Together, we’ll explore not only what is happening, but what is underneath it—and begin creating space for a life that feels more fully your own.
What does it mean to be Well Within?
This work is not about learning to live within the systems that oppress us.
There are many social forces that shape how we relate to and feel about both ourselves and our bodies. We live in a world that constantly, ruthlessly judges our bodies—particularly if our bodies are anything other than thin. We live in a world where we often don’t feel good enough. We are told we need to achieve more, do more, and work harder.
We override our intuition, that quiet voice inside that tells us we belong just as we are.
Being Well Within is about reclaiming your wholeness, feeling worthy in your skin, and bringing the full expression of who you are into the world.
Being Well Within is about prioritizing your relationship with yourself, knowing that it is the most important relationship you will ever have. It is knowing yourself, listening to yourself, loving yourself, and learning to trust yourself,
Together we will work toward body liberation and full expression of self, freeing you from unknowingly internalizing the social systems of oppression that designate certain bodies as more worthy, healthy, and desirable than others.
Regardless of what you heard as a kid or the ideas that you used to subscribe to, feeling Well Within, despite your weight, shape, or others’ ideas of what you “should be” is possible. I want that for you.
